Things that go thump in the night...

Writer's picture: JuneJune

Hello LH's and BH's!

I've got some very scary news for you!!! Two nights ago we had an intruder in our yard! It all happened when I was curled up in front of the fire box, dreaming of a pile of bones I found next to MH, who weirdly smelled like chicken poop (I have really weird dreams!), when I heard the first THUMP! Thump, thump, thump, all around the backyard. If you know me, you know I'm not really what you would call a "guard" dog. I'm more of a wait by the humans and let them sort it out, kind of dog.

I was petrified, so I just waited and waited but for some reason the humans didn't even stir! Was this some kind of magical creature? I don't know. But what I do know is that when we all got up in the morning, there were chocolate deposits hidden all around the yard. It must have been a really clever magical creature because all of the coloured egg things were up really high where I couldn't sniff them out.

The humans were really excited and it's one of the first times I've seen them with really good hunting skills like dogs. They were sniffing them out all over the place! I know I'm not allowed to eat these special chocolate things because as I mentioned in another post, I once at a whole chocolate cake and the results were MESSY! I even had to spend a night at the vet. So as you can see from my photo, I'm not going anywhere near the stuff (even though it does smell really delicious!)

So, what I want to know is this...did you hear thumping at your house? Did this happen to you too? It has really left me mystified! I think it has something to do with TH, he has changed most things around here after all!

Well, bye for now fellow isolaters, I will keep you updated and let you know if there are any more intruders!!

Love,

June xx

June you are a lucky dog. For some reason, there was no chocolate around my place this Easter. I think it is because of this virus. It is spoiling so many things in our lives! I am glad you did not eat that chocolate bunny because it would make you very sick. If I were you I'd stick to bones (but not ones that are off!). Woof woof, lick lick.
